Commission: Young Physicists Forum (YPF)

Commission foundation: 2012

The Young Physicists Forum (YPF), founded in 2012, is a commission of the Swiss Physical Society representing physics students across all Swiss universities. Its mission is to strengthen communication and collaboration among young physicists, foster connections between university physics associations, and promote awareness of research and career opportunities in academia and industry within Switzerland. The Forum organises an annual national meeting that brings together students from across the country for scientific lectures, industry presentations, laboratory visits, and student contributions, complemented by networking opportunities. As the Swiss Territorial Committee of the International Association of Physics Students (IAPS), the YPF coordinates national participation in international initiatives, including the organisation of the Swiss PLANCKS qualifiers and the delegation of the winning team. For further information about our activities or opportunities for collaboration, we remain at your disposal.
